After seven years in Washington, the Pro Bowl RB was ultimately released by the Washington Redskins. Portis was closing in on 30 years, and his best days are behind him. In addition, he was vulnerable to injuries over the last two seasons. Certainly, there will be a market for him next year (assuming there is an NFL season).
