LeBron James and Kevin Durant Failed but Kobe Bryant Succeeded

Sunday was a brilliant day for the NBA. The two most conspicuous games were the Oklahoma City Thunder versus the LA Lakers and the New York Knicks versus the Miami Heat. The LA Lakers extended their winning streak to 4 after the All-Star Break. Kobe was unsurprisingly his usual self by making a critical shot in the 4th quarter. Kevin Durant has an opportunity to make a play late in the game, but he choked.
The new look Knicks played an impressive game, and they even made some pivotal defensive plays. Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire defended the reigning MVP James very well. Stoudemire blocked James' layup in the 4th quarter, and Anthony contested James' final shot. The lingering question is still whether or not the New York Knicks can continue to play defense like this every game. Is this a prelude of things to come or simply an aberration?
